Once I [D]wandered in this vain, decaying, [F#m]turbulent world Finding [Bm]nothing that gave meaning inside[F#m] In that [Em]barren land, I long had [D]thirsted[Bm] But I [Em]found that nothing satis[A]fy. Then I saw You, [D]Lord, As You revealed Your living [F#m]water to me Saying, “[Bm]Drink and find an endless supp[F#m]ly” And I [Em]touched You as the living [D]fountain[Bm] As the [Em]well that never [A]will run [D]dry. And now I [Bm]wander, thirst no [F#m]longer Since I [Bm]called on You and took You [F#m]as my King Broken [Em]cisterns dry, I leave be[D]hind me[Bm] For wi[Em]thin I have a living s[A]pring. Lord, You [Bm]came to me; so moved by [F#m]pity And You [Bm]died for me, though lesser [F#m]than the least Once a [Em]prodigal, now clothed with [D]mercy[Bm] So by [Em]grace I can en[A]joy the [D]feast. 2 Now that [D]I have Your regenerating [F#m]life in me, Lord. Let me [Bm]constantly experience [F#m]You, O Lord, [Em]soften me and keep me [D]open[Bm] And now [Em]all my fleshly life sub[A]due. But don't stop there [D]write your law of life upon my [F#m]innermost being And trans[Bm]form me to Your image in[F#m]side Build me [Em]up within Your glorious [D]Body[Bm] Till I [Em]meet you as Your [A]longed-for [D]Bride. And now You [Bm]draw me with all Your [F#m]beauty Mary [Bm]poured her all and I will [F#m]do the same Now I [Em]consecrate my life to [D]You, Lord.[Bm] And re[Em]joice to suffer for Your [A]name. Till we’re [Bm]built into the consu[F#m]mmation New Je[Bm]rusalem with the life-[F#m]giving tree And the [Em]river flows through all the [D]City[Bm] Gushing [Em]up to e[A]terni[D]ty.
